Tateshina Sculpture Park

An open-air exhibition on the shore of Lake Tateshina

The park which stretches along the shore of Lake Tateshina, up in the highland at 1,250m, contains about 70 statues distributed over 25 acres. Most of the pieces on exhibition are by Japanese artist Seibo Kitamura, known for the Peace Statue in Nagasaki. There is a 2-kilometer trail winding through the park which you can follow during your visit. Admission is free.
