Altitude: 2440m, “Yamane to Momonga no Sanso” The Japanese Dormice and Flying Squirrel Cottage
It is a small and quiet mountain cottage built in Natsuzawa Pass, a branch point between Minami Yatsugatake and Kita Yatsugatake, and is well suited with a wood stove. It is a nature rich mountain cottage in where you can observe the Yamane (Japanese Dormouse) which is on the natural conservation list for Japan, a momonga(Flying Squirrel) with its big eyes, and squirrels.
