There is a unique festival in Chino that takes place once every 7 years, the Onbashira festival. The festival, which is considered one of the most dangerous in the world, is divided into three parts where the locals show their bravery by riding huge logs from the mountains all the way to the shrine of Suwa Taisha.

Ki-otoshi park is the venue of the first part of the festival, which consists of riding a massive log down a steep hill.
The view from the hilltop is nice, and there is a lifesize log just like the ones used in the festival on display.
