Thanks to the recent warm weather, the cherry blossoms at Tateshina’s Shoko-ji Temple are in bloom! The temple’s high elevation at 1,200 meters makes it one of the few places in Japan where you can admire cherry blossoms in late April-early May, around the same time as Hokkaido.
When visiting, please wear a mask and avoid crowding to prevent the spread of Covid-19. In addition, please note that no food, drinks, or pets are allowed on site.
