With February coming to an end, spring is just around the corner–down in the city, that is. Up at Mugikusatoge Pass, which sits at an altitude of 2,127 m, we’re still buried deep in snow!
Shirakoma Pond, popular for its moss forest and autumn leaves, is also in the midst of a snowy winter.
This area is about 3.5 hours from Kita-Yatsugatake Ropeway by snowshoe. Before venturing out, be sure to have the appropriate equipment for exploring the snowy mountains.
